In a Double Boiler melt the chocolate, water, grand marnier. Let the contents cool and then add the vanilla and butter. Seperate 8 eggs and put the yolks in a mixer with 1/2 cup sugar. Whip for 4 minutes and then turn mier to low. Add the chocolate mixture.
Clean the bowl and combing egg whites 1 tsp of sugar and a pinch of salt. Whip in the mixer until soft peaks. then fold into the chocolate.
Whip 1 cup cream, 1tsp sugar and vanilla to taste. Fold half into the chocolate. Reserve the rest for serving.
