Heat oven to 325 Degrees. In a large bowl, combine margarine, sugar, vanilla, & eggs. In another bowl; sift together cocoa, flour, salt, & baking powder. Add cocoa mixture to margarine mixture; stir just until well blended. Do not over mix. Stir in nuts. Pour batter into a nonstick 8-inch pan; level batter in pan. Bake for 20 minutes. Cool on wire rack; cut into 16 squares.
