In a large bowl, pour in all of the cereal. Set aside.
Spray a 9" x 13" baking dish with vegetable spray. Set aside.
In a medium sized pan, bring to boil over medium-high heat, the sugar and karo syrup.
When mixture is boiling, take off the heat and add in 1-1/2 cups peanut butter. Stir to melt the peanut butter. When melted, pour over the cereal. Stir to coat cereal completely.
Spoon out into the prepared baking dish. Gently press the cereal down using hands. Mixture will have cooled enough so as not to burn. Press cereal into the corners while leaving the surface as even as possible. Do not SMASH the cereal - just gently press to level out.
Using the same pot used for the sugar and karo syrup mixture, add in the chocolate. On low heat, melt the chocolate. Remove the pan from the heat. Add in the remaining 1/2 cup peanut butter. Stir to blend. Pour over the top of the cereal. Spread chocolate with a spatula to evenly coat the entire top of the bars.
Cool completely - let the chocolate harden before slicing into bars.
Watch the chocolate when melting - too high of a heat will burn the chocolate.
