This is one my favorite desserts! Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix together flour, salt, 1 1/2 TB cocoa, baking powder, white sugar. Stir in milk and melted butter. Mix until smooth. Optional: blend in nuts. Pour into 8 inch square pan. Combine brown sugar and 4 TB cocoa. Sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over all. Bake 45 minutes (if the mixture looks like it is getting dry, take it out of the oven sooner; you want it to be cake with pudding bubbling around it).
**This can be doubled and baked in a 9x12 or 9x13 pan.
