4/1/18 Perfect! Original recipe called for 3/4 cup sugar but I reduced to 1/2 cup sugar + 2 Tbs maple syrup. Reduced again to 1/4 cup plus 1 Tbs and I think that's the least I can get away with.
Someone mentioned adding peanut butter so maybe add 1 Tbs PB2 or peanut butter for additional flavor? Not sure if crunchy would be good but one person said it made it taste like Snickers.
I've tried it via original recipe, slowly adding milk, cacao and cornstarch and whisking to incorporate but I accidentally threw everything in the pot once and it whisked in just fine to a creamy blend:
Add milk, cacao powder, sugar, maple syrup and cornstarch to saucepan.
Start whisking on high heat and slowly bring to a boil (about 3 minutes).
Reduce to low/medium heat and continue to stir until thickened (about 3 more minutes).
Remove from heat and add vanilla (if using) and/or peanut butter.
Refrigerate and enjoy!
