Preheat oven to 350 and grease 9 x13" pan.
In small saucepan over low heat melt 4 ounces chocolate and butter stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and cool.
Beat sugar, vanilla and 4 eggs then stir in melted chocolate mixture just until blended.
Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off.
Stir in flour just until blended then spread mixture in pan and bake 25-30 minutes until set.
Cool completely then spread raspberry preserves over base.

In another small saucepan bring sugar and water to boil and boil one minute.
In large bowl beat 2 eggs until frothy then gradually add sugar water mixture.
Beat on highest speed 5 minutes or until thick and lemon colored.
Gradually add butter a small piece at a time beating well after each addition.
Add melted chocolate and beat until smooth then spread over preserves.
In small saucepan over low heat melt chocolate and butter stirring constantly.
Drizzle over filling then chill 1 hour and cut into bars.
