Combine cocoa, butter, water and crisco in pan and bring to full boil. Pour this mixture over sugar and flour which have already been blended. Beat egg, soda, vanilla and buttermilk and add to first mixture. Bake in greased pan (jelly roll or sheet cake pan) 325 degrees for 20 minutes.
Combine cocoa, milk and butter and bring to a boil. Remove from heat, add nuts, vanilla and powdered sugar. Pour over warm cake. (Make icing while cake is baking)
