1. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil.
2. Stir in vanilla and baking soda. In a large roasting pan, combine popcorn, M&Ms and sauce mixture. Toss until all coated.
3. Place in 200 degree preheated oven for 20 minutes. Allow to cool for 10 minutes, then stir gently.
4. Remove from oven and let cool completely on baking sheet.
