Add 1 can evaporated milk slowly so mixture doesn't stop boiling. Boil to firm ball stage (240*-250*)
Remove from hear and add:
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts if desired
Place in well buttered pan and cool cut and wrap in waxed paper.
