Suggest a better descriptionPut half the water in a saucepan, whisk in the skimmed milk and then add the marzipan in pieces. Set over a low heat and stir occasionally until the marzipan has melted. Remove from the heat. Grate on a little nutmeg, stir in the liqueur (if using) then add the remaining water. Cool the liquid and then freeze it, in a sorbetiere, ice cream maker or in a plastic box in the ice-making compartment of your freezer. If using the latter method, stir from time to time. Allow the ice to set before serving it.
