Preheat oven to 350F.
Butter & flour a 9-inch springform pan (round baking pan). In a bowl, beat eggs with sugar and salt until the mixture is pale and frothy. Slowly add oil, stirring continuously.
Add yogurt, sift in the flour and baking powder, and then add lemon zest, mixing well after each addition. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Pour 2/3 of batter into the pan. Sift and fold in the cocoa powder into the remaining batter and pour evenly over the light batter. Bake for 35 minutes.
Remove from oven and cool. Ciambella may be served warm or at room temperature.
