apple crumble
base:
1 preheat the oven to 200deg celcius and oil and line an 8inch round tin
2 cream the butter and sugar together
3 beat in the eggs one at a time
4 fold in the flour
5 place in the baking tin and set aside
topping:
6 cube the apples and drizzle lemon juice to prevent oxidation then place on top of the batter in the baking tin (add the raisins in if using any)
7 mix the butter, sugar, cinnamon, milk, self raising flour together in a bowl
8 when the mixture resembles coarse bread crumbs sprinkle it over the apples
9 bake in the oven for 1hr or until a skewer comes out clean
10 serve hot with ice cream or cream
