Heat oven to 450F degrees. Line 12 medium muffin cups, 2 1/2 X 1 1/4", with paper baking cups. Mix granulated sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon; reserve. Mix remaining ingredients except butter with fork until moistened. Divide batter among muffin cups. Bake until golden brown, 15-20 minutes. Immediately remove from muffin cups.
