Pare potatoes and dice them and cook in boiling water until tender, about 10-15 mins., and drain. In fry pan, cook bacon until crisp. Remove from pan. Cook onion in bacon dripping until clear. Add clams with broth and simmer 5 mins. In 4 qt. pan melt butter, stir in flour, and slowly stir in milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil and thickens. Reduce heat, add potatoes, clam mixture, and bacon pieces. Add Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Add half and half and heat until hot. Be careful not to let mixture come to a boil.
