Heat oil in skillet, add onions & garlic and sauté - stir in butter, wine, chicken broth, clam juice and oregano. Simmer uncovered 20 minutes. Add clams and heat gently. Remove from heat and stir in cheese and pepper. Add to cooked pasta.
