Beat in to submission the butter and sugars until light & creamy. Add egg and beat it. Sift: flour, salt & soda, then add to the creamy mixture. Finally, add chips and nuts. Drop by teasoons onto cookie sheet. Be sure to remove the teaspoons. Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.
