Cut beef across the grain into about 1 1/2 by 1/2 inch strips
Cook mushrooms, onion and garlic in butter in 10 inch skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally until onions are tender; then remove from skillet and set aside
Cook beef in same skillet until just browned
Stir in 1 cup of the broth, salt and Worcestershire sauce
Heat to boiling then reduce heat, cover and simmer about 10 minutes
Whisk remaining broth and flour together, then stir into beef mixture
Add onion mixture, heat to boiling, stirring constantly for 1 minute
Stir in sour cream and heat until hot (do not boil)
Serve over noodles
