The only trick to coleslaw is to make it ahead. The flavors need some time to develop. A few hours is enough & it will keep well in the fridge for days afterwards, if you have any leftovers.
Most coleslaw dressings you find in the store is chock-full of sugar. This one is just about as easy to make as the other stuff is to pour out of the jar. And, this is healthier!
1. Put all of the ingredients into a large bowl & stir until mixed.
2. The amount of celery salt you use will be based on your own tastes. I like the 2 teaspoons for myself.
3. The same goes for the mayonnaise. The creamier you like your slaw, the more mayonnaise you'll put into it.
4. I also like a lot of grated black pepper in coleslaw as well. I literally want to see the black bits.
*Some bags will have some shredded carrots in the for color too.
**I use mayonnaise made with olive oil rather than the stuff made with canola or soybean oil
