Place cocnut in blender or food processor; cover and process until finely chopped. In microwave, melt chocolate chips and milk. Stir in powdered sugar, 1 1/4 cup of the coconut, pecans and cherries. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm. Set aside remaining coconut.
Shape chocolate mixure into 1 inche balls; roll in reserved coconut. Place on waxed paper-lined baking sheets. Refrigerate for 2 hours or until firm.
Store in airtight container.
Makes about 3 dozen.
