Suggest a better description- Preheat oven to 150 degrees Centigrade (302 degrees Fahrenheit or Gas Mark or 10 to 20 degrees less on fan forced oven)
- Grease your trays
- Sprinkle the additional cornflour on trays
- Combine coconut, sugar and cornflour in a bowl
- Beat egg and salt together
- Stir into dry ingredients and mix well
- Form into "FIRM" balls, each weighing 20 grams.
- Place into greased trays with the sprinkled cornflour
- Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until lightly golden
- Remove from oven and loosen
- Allow to cool on trays
- Store in an airtight container
If you lightly oil your hands, the mixture won't stick on your hands when making the coconut balls.
When making the coconut balls, press firmly. The balls need to be firm, else they will disintegrate when cooking in oven.
