Seperate out the egg yolk from the white yolk (Advice -seperate out in three different containers to avoid mixing bad eggs)
Step 2
Keep the butter and Sugar in the container you are going to beat the ingredients
Step 3
Beat the eggs yolk and egg white seperately
(Fact:you should beat the egg yolk on highest until it's all cute and spongy)
Step 4
Sift the 2 table spoons of baking soda and wheat flour together
Step 5
Beat the butter and sugar
Midway -->Add the beared yellow yolk first and then add the beared egg white
(Fact : egg helps to melt down the butter and sugar well)
Keep on beating the ingredients together
Step 6
Meanwhile adjust the oven and Pre-heat it
175-180 degrees Celsius for 10mins
Heat select top and bottom
Step 7
Add the wheat flour which was sifted with baking powder
Add one big spoons at a time
Keep adding ..keeping beating
(Advice : it's beast not to excessively beat the wheat flour with the ingredients)
Step 8
The most important step I would say ... which we tend to easily forget .. VANILLA FLAVOUR!!
(Fact : vanilla flavor gives a really good aroma to your cake .. otherwise you just get a smell of baked wheat flour which is not exactly pleasant.Also...gives a subtle flavour to your cake)
Step 9
If we are not going for a chocolate cake add food colouring of your preference and mix [advice :best not to add blue or green....makes you feel like your cake got fungus ;p .
My go to colour is pink (pour alittle alittle of red) ]
Since we are going for a chocolate cake ....
Add 250g of Cocoa Powder and Add instant coffee to bring out the chocolate flavor)
Add the chocolate colouring as well
And keep beating
Step 10
By this time you would have heard your oven go "tin-tin"
Pre-heating is done !!!
(And that's how you multitask..lol)
Pour and pour everything to the container you are going to keep in the oven for baking
And bake at
175-185 degrees Celsius
Time : 40mins
Make sure your oven is tightly shut
Midway use a toothpick, poke and check for stickiness if so it's not yet baked
And it's done !!
