Suggest a better description* Mirin is a syrupy rice wine. Mix broth, soy sauce, sugar and mirin or dry sherry in a small saucepan. Heat about 1 minute; stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves. Add gingerroot and chill. To serve, pour over noodles; add cucmbers, oranges and cilantro; toss. Makes 4 side dish servings.
