Try this Collin's Crock pot Split Pea Soup recipe, or contribute your own.
Suggest a better descriptionMake sure you use a little of the liquid to de-glaze the pan that you sauteed all the yummy stuff in. Add that to the crockpot.
When you first look at this concoction at the end of the day, it will look toooo soupy. once you stir it around and add the cream cheese (and any other add-ins) it will thicken up. It thickens up the next day even more.
Some possible add-ins: left over baked potatoes, cubes small. (or home fries) Bacon? Sour cream? Just depends on how fattening you want this recipe, but it is so good that you don't need any of the add-ons!
Serve with fresh baked bread and butter.
You can always add more onion or garlic. :)
