Combine cookie mix, cream cheese, butter and 1 cup chopped pecans in a large m ixer bowl. Mix at low speed for 1 minute, and then again on medium speed until well combined.
Shape into a ball, roll in reserved pecans, then wrap and chill for at least 3 hours.
Serve with vanilla wafers or graham cracker sticks.
