Slice bread into 1-2" thick slices. Mix other ingredients listed. Dunk each bread slice in batter and place on griddle at 350 degrees. Cook until brown on both sides.
Heat skillet to medium heat. Slice bananas into pieces. Add sugar and bananas to pan. Once sugar has become brown and liquidy, add rum and light on fire. Allow the fire to die out. Stir all every few minutes.
