1. Melt butter in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
2. Add the mushrooms and saute 3 minutes.
3. Stir in the flour, gradually add milk, stirring with a whisk.
4. Add potato, thyme, salt, pepper and corn and bring to a boil. Stir in chicken and 2 tablespoons green onions. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
5. Ladle into bowls, top with remaining green onions.
