Suggest a better descriptionHeat large saucepan to medium. Add oil, onion,garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine. Cover and cook until onion browns and softens, about 3 minutes stirring often.
Sprinkle flour over mixture. Add broth and milk, bring to a simmer and whisk.
Add corn and potatoes. Increase heat to medium-high and return to simmer. Reduce heat to maintain simmer and cook until potatoes are tender, about 5 minutes.
Add lemon and bacon. Mash potatoes a bit.
