This is very different and very good,
Heat oven to 400 F. Grease an 8 or 9 in pan (I used mini loaf pans).
Combine dry ingredients. Stir in milk, oil, egg,onion, mix just until combined and moistened.
Pour batter into pam sprayed pan. Bake 20 - 25 minutes or until golden brown.
if you want to use a *sandwich maker (this is what i like to use)
pre heat the sandwich maker, spray with pam, 2 tbsp in each well of cornbread batter, cook 4 min with latch closed., cool and slice the bread in half,
* Then add some flavored mayo with jalapenos, black pepper, on each side of bread, followed by some sliced chicken or turkey and a slice of your favorite cheese, i use Gouda, for a smokey flavor.
