Toss in bag to mix well.
Gently and carefully force out any air then seal the bag. To aid in preventing freezer burn, place the filled bag into a 2nd gallon sized freezer bag and seal it.
On your outside bag, label or write the name of the side dish and today’s date using a Sharpie marker (it’s the only brand that doesn’t run in the freezer!) on the bag and place in the freezer.
At time of cooking ingredients
1 cup skim milk
1 (12-oz.) box Jiffy cornbread mix
Vegetable oil (for pregreasing pan)
Cooking Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Pour contents of bag into a large mixing bowl; add skim milk and the box of Jiffy® cornbread mix. Stir to mix well.
Grease a 1 1/2 quart baking or casserole dish with vegetable oil; pour mixture into your prepared baking dish.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until cornbread crust is golden brown.
