If using an electric skillet, heat to 350 or 375 degrees.
Use two bowls.
Mix liquid ingredients in the smaller bowl. Stir until blended.
Mix dry ingredients in the larger bowl.
When ready to cook, add liquids to the larger bowl and stir until the batter is smooth.
Bake on a lightly greased griddle.
Makes 4 cakes, each about 6 inches in diameter (they will be thick).
This recipe is a snap--it's never failed at home, or when camping. Of course, griddle heat is important.
