Quick and easy recipe courtesy of Crisco Shortening.
1. Heat oven to 425-degrees.
2. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in bowl. Cut in shortening using pastry blender (or two knives) to form coarse crumbs. Add milk. Mix with fork until particles are moistened and cling together. Form dough into ball.
3. Transfer dough to lightly floured surface. Knead gently 8 to10 times. Roll dough 1/2-inch thick. Cut with floured 2-inch round cutter. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
4. Bake at 425-degrees for 12 to 14 minutes.
For South Western Biscuits: Add 1 can diced green chiles, drained and 1/2 cup grated Cheddar Cheese.
For Cinnamon Biscuits: Melt 3 tablespoons of Butter Flavor Crisco and brush biscuit tops. Sprinkle with cinnamon just before baking.
