Suggest a better descriptionSoak beans in water to cover at least 8 hours or overnight. In large pot, cook bacon over medium-high heat until browned. Add onion and cook until translucent. Add garlic and chiles and cook 1 minute longer. Drain beans, rinse, and add to pot along with tomatoes and enough water to cover. Bring to boil, reduce heat, cover partially, and cook 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Uncover and simmer, stirring occasionally, until beans are tender, about 1 to 2 hours or longer. season to taste with salt and pepper. Serves 8 to 10.
