Combine chicken broth, carrots, onion, celery, thyme and Old Bay Seasoning in a large slow cooker.
Cover and cook on HIGH for 4 hours. (LOW for 6)
In a bowl, stir together red pepper, evap. milk, cornstarch and salt.
Uncover slow cooker and stir in the red pepper mixture.
Replace lid and continue to cook for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, stir in the corn and crab meat and continue to cook for 30 minutes.
Reduce heat to warm.
**optional to add 1/2 lb red potatoes, peeled and diced.
Serve with Cheddar Bay biscuits
