1. In a large bowl, combine 1/3 cup bread crumbs, green onion, red pepper, egg, mayonnaise, lemon juice, garlic and
cayenne:

3. Place remaining bread crumbs in a shallow bowl.
4. Divide the crab mixture 8 equal portions; shape into 2 inch balls. Gently coat in bread crumbs and shape int 1/2 inch
patties.
5. In a large non-stick skillet, heat the butter over medium-high heat. Add the crab cakes; cook 3 to 4 minutes on each side
or until golden brown.
