In a medium saucepan melt 1 tablespoon butter. Saute onion until soft. Mix in flour. Slowly add milk, stirring constantly over medium heat until it starts to boil and thicken. Mix in bread cubes. Cool. Fold in mayonaise, lemon juice, wine and salt and pepper.
Melt remaining butter, add crab. Toss lightly with sauce mix so as not to break up crabmeat.
Put into shells. Sprinkle with paprika.
Bake at 450 until hot and bubbly and lightly browned approximately 10-15 minutes.
