Small or medium female crabs.
Remove top shell while crab is still alive (with Gloves)
Remove mouth & eyes, lungs.
Scrub with brush. Break in half.
Place in pot & fill w/water 1/4 of way.
Boil until crabs turn red.
Take crabs out to cool. Save water. (Strain)
Sauté beef cube stew meat.
Sauté onion & celery.
Crab Stock & Beef cook for 15 minutes.
Add tomatoes and cabbage shredded.
Add potatoes, onion, celery, lima beans, carrots, green beans, peas, bacon & parsley.
Add salt & pepper to taste
Add J.O. (or Old Bay) to taste.
Low boil add liquid as needed 1/2 hr add whole crab.
Cook for at least 1 1/2 hour after. Serve stew with whole half crab.
