Precook potatoes, drain, cut and set aside
Precook fresh corn and cut from the cob
Precook bacon and set aside 1 tablespoon of the rendered bacon fat
Sweat onions, celery, and corn with butter and bacon fat. Add flour and thyme. Cook 5-10 minutes, stirring often.
Add water and crab base, old bay seasoning, parsley, and 1/2 cub of the crab meat
Add heavy cream and bring to 180 degrees.
Add potatoes, salt & pepper to taste
Add Jack Daniels and remainder of crab meat just before serving
