I won honorable mention in 5th grade 4-H cooking competition with cracker pie! Boy, the young judges didn't know how to handle cracker + pie in one phrase... it will win you over!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9 inch pie plate.
In mixing bowl beat egg whites until foamy. Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff and glossy.
Fold in crumbs, baking powder, vanilla and nuts. Turn into pie plate.
Bake in preheated ove for 35 minutes.
Cool. Cover with whipped cream. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
