A great alternative to the standard cranberry jelly, this dish is refreshing and a great accompaniment to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Perhaps our family's favorite dish - why we only make it at the holidays is a mystery!
Pick through cranberries to eliminate soft ones and stems. Cook cranberries in 2 cups of water until skins are popped, about 5-10 minutes. Pour cranberries and water through a seive or food mill (much easier) into a large bowl. Add sugar, orange juice, lemon juice, zests, and 1 1/2 cups cold water. Mix well.
Pour into 9 1/2 by 13 inch glass or metal pan. Freeze (best to stir a few times if possible) until firm. Take out shortly before serving to thaw slightly. Cut into squares and serve.
