Boil spaghetti in salted water for 1 minute less than package directions
Heat skillet coated with oil on high heat
When oil begins to smoke add scallops and cook for about 60 seconds to sear then toss and add butter
After butter has melted add minced garlic, lemon zest, and red pepper flakes and stir in
Add sherry to deglaze and let cook for 1 min
Add heavy cream and lower temperature when sauce begins to simmer add salt and pepper and lemon juice to taste
Let reduce until spaghetti is ready then add spaghetti and half of the parsley, and raise heat to med-high and toss to coat and let cook for 1 min and turn off heat
Add parmesian and stir in then add the rest of the parsley
Serve in warm bowls
