Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 2-quart baking dish. On a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add broccoli and onion and saute until onion is translucent- about 5 minutes. Remove from heat. With a wire whisk or beater, beat eggs in a large bowl. Beat in cheese and cream to blend well. Stir into mixture the broccoli, onion, salt, and pepper. Pour mixture into greased baking dish and set dish in a larger pan filled with about an inch of water. Bake for 45 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let stand for 20 minutes, serve.
I use an 8x8 inch pan for this recipe. When doubled, I use a 9x13 inch pan
