Suggest a better descriptionCombine broth and water in a 3 quart sauce pan.
Add potatoes heat to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of the broth/water.
Return the potatoes to the pot and briefly cook over medium heat until all the moisture has evaporated. This helps make the potatoes fluffy.
Mash the potatoes in the pan with 1/4 cup broth, cream, butter, and black pepper.
Add additional broth/water, if needed until desired consistency.
