Suggest a better description*Melt butter with the oil in a large pan
*Add onion and cook stirring occasionally for 5 min or until soft
*Add garlic, tomatoes, stock, wine, and tomato paste, stir well, and season to taste
*Partially cover the pan and simmer, stirring occasionally for 20-25 min or until the mixture is soft & pulpy
*Remove the pan from heat, leave to cool slightly the pour into a blender
*Add torn basil and process
*Push mixture through a strainer into a clean pan with a wooden spoon
*Stir in cream and reheat soup, but do NOT let it boil
*Ladle the soup into warmer bowls and garnish with basil leaves
