This delicious pie was inspired by all the others that I tried. Easy to make and with a taste that will please your plaid once you try it.
In a large fry pan, brown the hamburger meat and add the pressed fresh garlic. Once it is slightly browned, add the Peppers and Onions. Make sure that the peppers and onions are chopped very fine to add color to the hamburger meat. Also add the Oregano and stir the mixer. Drain off any meat fat and once you’re satisfied, add the tomato sauce and stir to coat. Simmer for 5 minutes and then remove from the heat to allow the mixture to thicken on its own.
As the filling is thickening, open one of the crescent rolls. Flour a small section of your workspace and overlay all the crescent rolls. Using a rolling pin, press all the rolls into a single section and make into the shape that will fit your casserole dish. Mine is round. Grease the inside of your dish and line your disk with the crescent rolls, add the cooked meat mixture. Repeat with the second crescent roll tube for the top of your casserole. Fold in the edges to seal and score into a cross hatched design, if you wish. Do NOT brush with an egg white mixture!
Preheat oven to 350 DegF and add bake for about 20-30 minutes or until the crescent roll topping stares to rise and brown.
