Suggest a better descriptionPour buttermilk into a bowl, add fish strips and soak for 1 hour. In a shallow bowl, season cornmeal with salt and pepper. Shake excess liquid off fish and roll the fish in the seasoned cornmeal. Heat oil to 350F in a deep-fryer or large deep skillet. Fry fish in batches for 2 minutes until golden brown. Serves 4
