The best apple pie ever!! Use along with recipe for Aunt Sarah's crust
Peel and slice apples. Add lemon juice, sugar, salt, flour and cinnamon. mix slightly and let set until sugar and spices become moist.
Arrange in 9" deep unbaked pie sheet (see aunt sarah''s pie crust recipe). Dot with margarine. Cover with top crust, seal, flute and pat with mixture of egg yolk and milk (one egg yolk with 2 Tbsp milk) to facilitate browning.
Bake in 375-400 degree oven for 45 minutes. if top is becoming too brown after 25 minutes, temperature may be reduced to 350 degres to finish baking.
