Suggest a better description1 stick butter (no sub.), 1-1/4 c. Flour. Cut butter (soft) into flour. Add 1cup sugar and blend.Take out 1 heaping
cup of crumbs. To rest add 1egg, 1/2 c. Buttermilk, 1/2 tsp. baking soda, pinch salt, 1/2 nutmeg. Mix well
(Batter will be lumpy) use 9x9 in. pan (greased and floured). Sprinkle half of the crumbs, pour batter on top,and top
W/remaining crumbs. Sprinkle w/ nutmeg for color. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 min.
