1. In a large bowl, combine the cucumbers, cilantro, peanuts and salt.
2. In the smallest saucepan you have, heat the oil over high heat until it is hot and shimmering.
3. Add the mustard and/or cumin seeds to the oil, shaking to distribute evenly. Allow them to sputter like popcorn, about 30 seconds.
4. Add in the turmeric and stir quickly.
5. Pour this hot, flavored oil over the cucumbers and mix well.
6. Drizzle the lemon juice over the mixture. Toss to combine. Serve immediately.
