Delicious layer of cheesy sauce over a layer of broccoli and chicken...a family favorite
Stew chicken in a pot of water until tender and no longer pink. Remove and cool. Cook broccoli in the same water until it is tender. Drain. Put all the broccoli on the bottom of a large casserole baker. Remove chicken from bone, remove any skin, and tear chicken into bite-sized pieces. Layer chicken over the broccoli. Mix all other ingredients except for bread, and pour on top of chicken. Top it all with the bread pieces (dot butter on top of the bread, or spray with butter-flavored spray. Bake at 350 for 30 - 45 minutes, until bread is browned and sauce is bubbly.
