Suggest a better description1. Rinse dal and add it to pressure cooker. Add 2-cups of water and salt and cook for 4-whistles over medium flame.
2. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan and add sliced onion and sauté until it turns light brown. Then add crushed ginger, garlic, green chilli and sauté for 30-40 seconds. Note: Make sure garlic doesn’t turn dark brown
3. Add chopped tomato and sauté until it’s soft.
4. Add turmeric and red chili powder
5. Add cooked dal and mix well
6. Add 1-cup of water and stir to mix. Add salt
7. Cook on medium heat until you get desired consistency of dal. Approximately 6-7 minutes and stir multiple times.
